Rainer Berkefeld will be joining the SLAC International team from 1 July 2021, with responsibility for Business Development and International Accounts in the EMEA Region. 

In this role he will report to Chris McKenzie, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer, International. 

“Rainer is a well-respected industry professional, with a number of breakthrough innovations to his name during a career devoted to metal packaging, initially in R&D and technical positions and more recently in global sales management,” commented McKenzie.

In his career Rainer has worked for Ball Packaging Europe (previously Schmalbach Lubeca), Mall + Herlan, Schuler and Alfons Haar.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clausthal University of Technology and an MBA in Marketing.
