The New York Yankees has teamed up with Anheuser-Busch and Ball Corporation to offer more sustainable beverage cups at Yankee Stadium.

For the 2021 and 2022 season, Ball’s aluminium cups will be available in a bid to make the stadium more sustainable.

A post on the Yankee’s Twitter read: “We’re proud to partner with Anheuser-Busch to produce these Ball aluminum cups in order to make Yankee Stadium more sustainable.

“The cups will be available for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Cheers to a bright future!”

The first-of-its-kind creation came about in 2019 and debuted first in Denver-area sporting venues.

It has since gone on to feature at the LA Rams’ So-Fi Stadium and now available for customers across the US.

Dan Fisher, Ball Corporation’s President, said the wide availability of the aluminium cup has several advantages.

He said: “Ball has a long history of being a brand that people trust, and we are excited to reenter the B2C market with the retail rollout of the innovative and infinitely recyclable Ball Aluminum Cup.
