Latamcan set to mark the return of trade shows
Latamcan trade show is set to mark the return of trade shows in the metal packaging industry, after a near 18 month exodus as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event is set to take place on 22-24 September in Mexico City, Mexico.
Commenting during the build-up to the show, event director, Raul Martinez, said: “It’s with great pleasure that we can announce that all hotel rooms that we have contracted for Latamcan 2021 are completely sold out.
“We wish to thank all the suppliers registered for their support. We believe it is time to reconnect personally with our peers.”
To ensure compliance with Covid-19 protocols, the event has a robust set of protocols:
“Latamcan will require a Covid test with negative results in order to receive your conference package at the registration desk on Wednesday 22 September,” said Martinez.
“Each attendee will have the alternative to either bring a negative Covid test from their country of origin, get tested at a local pharmacy or laboratory in Mexico before arriving at the hotel or use the services provided by a local lab which will be set up right there in one of the halls at the hotel.
“The lab will be set up for the duration of the conference so you can also get your test to fly back home, depending on the requirements by your airline or government. This is only a convenient suggestion which you can either use or decide to get tested somewhere else if needed.
” ‘Hilton Clean Stay and Event Ready’ protocols are n place to make everyone feel comfortable and safe also.”
