Boxing legend Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez announced the launch of a range of tequila-based canned cocktails.

The Mexican fighter, who is a four-weight world champion, posted about the ready-to-drink (RTD) canned beverages on his Instagram page.

Canelo’s VMC canned cocktails come in three flavour expressions: Paloma, Margarita and Jamaica.

The beverages are presented in 355ml cans and have 6% ABV.

“Our origin brought us to this moment. It is that same origin that will take us to where we want to go. Today a dream comes true that shows that we are unique and we are ready to celebrate with all the strength that unites us”, Canelo Alvarez commented.

On his Instagram page, Canelo added, “I invite you to celebrate with me the launch of my new project. #VMC is a tribute to our roots.”

The 32-year-old most recently defeated Gennady Golovkin in September to retain his unified super-middleweight world titles.

He has an overall record of 58-2-2 and has fought the greatest names of his generation.
