Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea is launching its first higher-ABV canned beverage.

Twisted Tea Extreme will have an 8% ABV, but the brand says it will not be sacrificing quality or flavour.

Made with real brewed tea and no carbonation, Twisted Tea Extreme is available in single serve cans in two flavours – Lemon and Blue Razz. 

It is rolling out now across five test markets, including New York, Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Vermont.

“Fans asked and we listened,” said Erica Taylor, senior brand director for Twisted Tea. “Designed for those times when fans are looking for an extra kick of alcohol, flavour and fun, Twisted Tea Extreme gives us a totally new space to play in while maintaining what we do best: creating the best-tasting hard iced teas out there.”

This test launch will allow Twisted Tea to home in on the higher-ABV space and gather direct drinker feedback before growing elsewhere.
