Asahi ‘draft beer cans’ available in more countries

Japanese beer brand Asahi has made its ‘self-foaming’ draft beer in a can available in Singapore.

Asahi Super Dry Nama Jokki was first launched in Japan in 2021, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, and proved to be popular.

The cans designed by Asahi have a special feature that allows drinkers to tear off the entire top in a bid to try and replicate the experience of drinking the beer on draft in a pub or bar.

Asahi Breweries Ltd have also done something special inside the can with tiny bumps that act to create more head on the beer when it is opened.

It proved popular and sold out almost instantly after it was released on April 4, 2021 at convenience stores and on April 20, 2021 at supermarkets nationwide in Japan.

Now the cans will be available at FairPrice outlets in Singapore. It had previously been launched in South Korea with plans to expand to Hong Kong as well.
