Greenbank make donation to children’s hospice

Greenbank

Greenbank Technology has made a donation to a children’s hospice of £1000, who are the company’s chosen charity.

Derian House is a centre close to Greenbank’s head office in Blackburn which looks after very ill children and their families to their end of life care.

Greenbank made Derian House its chosen charity to support for 2021 and supported them throughout the year.

Over the festive period, the company decided not to send customers and suppliers and £1000 was raised.

Greenbank did the same thing in 2020, raising £750 to donate to the charity.

Derian House support families from across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester who have a child diagnosed with a life limiting or life threatening condition.

The charity look after children and young people right up until their 26th Birthday offering palliative care, respite stays, day care, holidays and end of life support.

The help they provide isn’t solely for the child and young person, but extends right across the family to brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents.

The care Derian House provide is free for families, but services cost over £5 million to run every year with only 12% of funding we need coming from the government.
